- Subject: permissions on /proc/self/fd, process substitution, heredoc
hi. I am trying to add a ssh key from process substitution and a
heredoc, and I am getting the following message:
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
@ WARNING: UNPROTECTED PRIVATE KEY FILE! @
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Permissions 0666 for '/proc/self/fd/63' are too open.
It is recommended that your private key files are NOT accessible by others.
This private key will be ignored.
here is the code I am trying to run:
ssh-add <( cat << EOF
-----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
[snip]
-----END RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
EOF
)
this works in linux.
