If setup.exe is not supported for other projects, maybe they should not 
even try using Cygwin setup, but who am I to tell how things are done 
here... I will resend my complain to cygwin-apps mailing list.

Then you should report this problem to the CygwinPorts mailing list and
let them deal with this problem.

If this truly is a setup.exe problem we're not going to rush out a new
version to fix a problem which doesn't affect the cygwin distribution.
