  The fact that it's not looking for a file called
but one called
which probably doesn't exist.....

Perhaps you have a mistake in the command line you're using? Perhaps you've
typed "~password-file=XXXX" when you meant to say "--password-file=XXXX"?
Yep, that's probably it. You typed a tilde instead of a dash and it's being
expanded to your home dir path.



actually, this is the command I have used:

rsync -avz "/cygdrive/e/Company" password-file="/home/Administrator/rsync_passwd" --delete --delete-excluded --exclude "Office2003/" --exclude "Office2003SP/" server1@ > /home/Administrator/rsync_server1.log
