RE: cygwin gcc failure

Mea culpa.  I was misremembering my original problem and mistakenly thinking I 
had gotten a similar error with XWin.exe before also displaying the heap problem
with gdb/bash.

Looking back, I see I only got the application error popup with a buggy snapshot.
