pnm2ppa converts to HP's "Winprinter" format (for HP 710, 720, 820, 1000,
etc). It is a superset of Netpbm's pbmtoppa and handles, notably, color.
However, it is more of a printer driver than a Netpbm-style primitive
graphics building block. See http://sourceforge.net/project/?group_id=1322.
I have yet to read about and try it, but the last sentence indicates
promising possiblities to me.
