[ANNOUNCEMENT] Updated: autoconf-2.57a-1 (wrappers)

- Subject: [ANNOUNCEMENT] Updated: autoconf-2.57a-1 (wrappers)
- Reply-to: cygwin at cygwin dot com
[does NOT require cygwin-1.5.3+ -- this package was in 'test' for normal
reasons. It doesn't solve all the problems I wanted it to, but it works
everywhere the old version did, and fixes several bugs.]
The autoconf package has been updated to version 2.57a-1. Recall that
this package is not the REAL autoconf. It's a set of wrapper scripts
that call the REAL autoconf from autoconf-stable or autoconf-devel,
depending on the needs of your target. See this message
http://cygwin.com/ml/cygwin/2001-12/msg00100.html
CHANGES:
o WANT_AUTOCONF_VER variable support added; now you can
override the auto-detection logic by setting this environment
variable. e.g. "WANT_AUTOCONF_VER=2.57"
o Add support for missing options
(autoreconf) Add --opt-make
(autoreconf) Add --opt-warnings
(autoscan) Add --opt-debug
(ifnames) Add --opt-macrodir
