OK, I guess the "test install of SourceForge" set HOME to this directory.
You need to figure out where that was done and eradicate it, since it 
seems to be left-over and causing the problem.  As a few hints, depending
on your OS, you should look for this in the settings underneath the 
control panel applet, your autoexec.bat, and/or any other batch files that
get run on your system as part of the start-up.
