Hold on. Lets assume that I had made the change. So, we are assuming, hypothetically, that the patch should have been attributed to me. In that case you are still in the wrong because you attributed the patch to yourself, not to me (even though I did not make the change). You cannot escape the fact that *you* *took* credit for the patch; you did not assign it to the wrong person due to a mistake in interpreting the change log entries, you actually *took* credit for yourself and didn't mention the fact that you got the patch from another project.
