Hi
I'd like to run Lyx (a LaTeX editor) on a win32 platform. As it requires
a X server, I installed cygwin (1.3.2-1) & XFree86 4.1.0.
XFree86 crashes when I use startx, but works fine with startxwin.sh. I
haven't been to figure out why yet.
I can run the binaries included in the XFree distribution (even the
glxgears demo), but when I start Lyx, I get a dialog box, and after a
few seconds the X server crashes with a stackdump.

3303560 [main] XWin 1680965 handle_exceptions: Error while dumping state
(probably corrupted stack)
I really don't know what to do. Is it possible to generate a 'core dump'
? Is there an official X 4.1.0 binary compiled with debug information ?
Suggestions are welcome.
Laurent Pinchart
PS : If anyone knows why startx dumps the stack too, please let me know.
