This your xkeycap Imakefile problem. Have a look at the following line....
LOCAL_LIBRARIES = $(XAWLIB) $(XTOOLLIB) $(XTRAP_LIBS) $(XMULIB) $(XLIB)
It should be:
LOCAL_LIBRARIES = $(XAWLIB) $(XTOOLLIB) $(XTRAP_LIBS) $(XMULIB) $(XPMLIB)
$(XLIB)
I assume this Imakefile of xfree86?
