Indeed it works !

Nevertheless, I must emphasize that the test 18 version
did work with a screen resolution of 24 bit s per pixel!
Concerning the keyboard events, there are lots of
spurious key eevents generated:
(I loaded the french modmap previously sent to this list by Andrew Markebo)
Left Alt key generates regularly keypress and keyrelease
evnets even if I old the key pressed, is this intended ?
The Windows key at the right of the AltGr key does
generate an long list of keypress and keyrelease events
until some other key is pressed again, when the xev window is again in focus !
(Maybe this has to do with the fact that it is also associated
with Mode_Switch keysym as AltGr, anyway, I
am not sure this is really a good idea, maybe it shouldn't be used at all by
the Xserver as it opens the Windows menu bar anyway!)
