Of course you can. Here is the procedure:

1.) Create a bootable Linux install CD.
2.) Buy a new computer.
3.) Boot into the BIOS setup program and make sure CD booting is
enabled.
4.) Put the first Linux install CD in the drive, boot the computer, and
follow the directions.
5.) Tell the installer to reformat the drive. Make sure you get any
"recovery" partitions or other such nonsense.
6.) Continue follow the directions. Linux installers are known for their
ease of use. :-)
7.) Everything should work as you expect now.

If this seems like too much work for you, you can make sure the new
computer you buy is a Mac, in which case you can skip steps 1 and 3-6.
However, you might be confused by the lack of mouse buttons.
