Oops, sorry, I misread the original message (thought you were talking
about DNS *servers*)... It does look like to get the DNS search list on
Win9x you need to go to the registry
(\HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\MSTCP\SearchList on Win98).
Neither ipconfig nor winipcfg are even aware of this.
