Last few lines of buildlog is as follows:
mawk: scripts/gen-sorted.awk: line 19: syntax error at or near ]
mawk: scripts/gen-sorted.awk: line 19: runaway regular expression /, "",
subd ...

You should use gawk as your default awk.
