Hello all, again: I'm still having problems with the cross compiler creation from i586-pc-linux-gnu, to both i386-pc-msdosdjgpp & i386-pc-mingw32. I can successfully build the Binutils that I'm using for both of them (binutils-2.13.90.0.18), and install that. So I wind up with binaries in /usr/local/i386-pc-msdosdjgpp and /usr/local/i386-pc-mingw32, for both of the sets of binutils. I can execute ld and it confirms for me that it knows how to link for the respective systems, and so I see that they built the way that I intended for them to. However, what I am chronically having problems with, is gcc. I'm using gcc-3.2.2 from the Free Software Foundation's FTP site, and when I run configure, all is well - with both msdosdjgpp and mingw32 target configurations - however, when the build process starts, I have problems similar to what I posted the other day when I wrote to the mailing list. I've done even *MORE* searching since then, and I've found people who have had a myriad of other problems, as well. Is it even possible to build this release of gcc for cross compiling? Has anyone on this list been able to compile gcc with a host and build environment of i586-pc-linux-gnu (or similar x86 Linux configurations) and a target of either i[345]86-pc-msdosdjgpp or i[345]86-pc-mingw32? Nearly every document that I've found is outdated on this subject, and their instructions don't work. Adjusting things so that they look as they should, doesn't seem to work, either. I'm totally lost, here. :) Thanks a million, in advance. - Mike ===================================================================== M.
