2.31 check-gas regressions: i386 AVX512F insns et al

Something in the last two days or so has made the 2.31 branch
configured for --target=x86_64-elf start getting:
FAIL: i386 AVX512F insns
FAIL: i386 AVX512 lig256 insns
FAIL: i386 AVX512 lig512 insns
FAIL: x86_64 AVX512F insns
FAIL: x86_64 AVX512 lig256 insns
FAIL: x86_64 AVX512 lig512 insns
in check-gas.
I haven't bisected it but the only candidates are HJ's last three changes.
Can you fix or revert those?
