That's odd. It implies that some object has a .bss section marked as
PROGBITS rather than NOBITS.
I ran this on the installed toolset, the rtems build
tree, and a build tree of newlib. It didn't get any
find . -name "*.[ao]" | while read o; do
readelf -S $o | grep ".bss" | grep NOBITS >/dev/null
test $? -ne 0 && echo $o $?
I think the script is right. Anywhere else to look?
Could ld be making a mistake printing this?
