Well, the reasoning behind removing /usr/lib was simply that there
generally would be no /usr in the SPU "native" directory structure.
E.g. in our typical setup where the SPU files reside in /usr/spu,
the libraries would be in /usr/spu/lib, not in /usr/spu/usr/lib.
Having the linker look in the latter seems confusing to me ...
In any case, I've checked the patch now in to ensure that binutils
is consistent with GCC in this respect.
