while it's great you want to support another processor, i dont think either of 
the patches posted are even close to being the quality in which to merge.

you have to keep in mind that the binutils/gcc package target more than just 
the Lexra processor which means your change cannot break any of them (which 
is what your patches seem to do).

also, your changes are against very old releases of binutils/gcc ... in order 
to get new work submitted, they need to be against current CVS versions.  
you'll also need proper ChangeLog entries for each change.

finally, please submit the gcc patch to the gcc project ... you can find the 
appropriate mailing list at http://gcc.gnu.org/
