I decided to approve the patch because it clearly doesn't break
anything, and it's a step in the right direction. Further refinements
may be necessary..

Yes, I have. There are many other failures like this, especially on
non-ELF platforms, where a failure isn't really showing a problem with
the tool but rather with the test.
