No - I believe that you still have control of the top level
configure.in file. The above just says that the binutils and gdb
projects like to be informed of changes. The binutils MAINTAINERS
file says:
Note - patches to the top level configure.in and config.sub scripts
should be sent to:
config-patches@gnu.org
and not to the binutils list.
So, since Robert did not have a CC to config-patches on his patch
submission I thought it best to mention explicitly that I was not
checking that part of the patch in.
