linker -Ttext documentation is misleading
- From: Alexandre Oliva <aoliva at redhat dot com>
- To: binutils at sources dot redhat dot com

- Subject: linker -Ttext documentation is misleading
- Organization: GCC Team, Red Hat
The linker info file says -Ttext sets the address of the text segment,
whereas what it actually does (and, for almost a decade, has done) is
to set the address of the text section. This patch corrects the
documentation. Ok to install?
