BTW, sorry, but I forgot to report the following:
1- I used make DESTDIR=/root/install install but:
/bin/sh
/usr/local/src/development/binutils-2.13.90.0.10/mkinstalldirs
/root/install/usr /root/install/usr
mkdir /root/install/usr
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/fredlwm/tmp/objdir/bfd'
...
mkdir /usr/info
...
Everything was installed in /usr. I thought DESTDIR would work.
2- GCC 2.95.4 and 3.2 also install c++filt. Which one should I
keep ?
I found http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2002-05/msg02407.html, but
don't know who's right.
