monitor mode: add 'q' keystroke to quit

It'll be nice to have a sequence other than ^C to cause an exit, so
that e.g. we can review output / diagnostics after the script quit.
Switching to 'h' to flip between help screen and normal mode, to avoid
accidental 'q'.
