Description Rick Moseley 2006-02-20 16:51:17 UTC
When adding a custom observer that is based on the "Exec" base observer, the
"Filters" window acts inconsistent. IMHO, when the "Exec" observer is selected
as the base observer and then the "Add" button is selected in the "Filters"
view, "Exec'ing Thread" should automatically be selected in the field at teh top
left of the view since it is the only choice available. Right now, the user
must click on that field and "Exec'ing Thread" is placed there. Also, if you
continue to click on the "Exec'ing Thread" field, it toggles between a button
with up and down indicators and a button without up and down indicators.

This should be a general rule, IMHO, if there is only one selection for a
particular choice, that field should be filled in automatically for the user
without giving them a choice.

Hmmm, in looking at it closer, the field to the right of "Exec'ing thread" in
the "Filters" window should probably have "Name Filter" selected automatically
when the "Add" button is clicked and "Exec Observer" is selected as the base
observer.
