I have commented out the stripchart widget in the gui because it is unstable
when I am testing the gui.
I think it might be related to rapidly switching between different stripcharts
by selecting different processies as chris mentioned in .to.

Added checks that the widget is mapped before drawing to it.  Seems to have
worked for Sami.
