Description Flavelle Ballem 2013-09-03 02:07:36 UTC
In the localization file for English Canada - and possibly for French Canada, there are errors.

In Canada, we use Metric for distances and for temperatures.

We use US Paper Sizes however. The current configuration specifies that the default paper size and units of measurement are metric. Canadians measure their paper in inches - for example 8-1/2 x 11 is Letter size. We expect our measurement units for paper to be in inches as well.

The following may be of some help to you: http://www.paper-sizes.com/north-american-paper-sizes/north-american-loose-paper-sizes

LC_PAPER for en_CA specifies US Letter size paper. All paper sizes are denoted in millimeters.

LC_PAPER
height 279
width 216
END LC_PAPER

fr_CA copies this:

LC_PAPER
copy "en_CA"
END LC_PAPER

Not sure what you would suggest changing.

i'm in the process of importing data from CLDR and it should fix this for all canadian locales
Comment 3 Mike Frysinger 2016-02-19 07:42:35 UTC
actually, as Chris highlighted, these locales are already US-Letter
