I originally started working on GCC at a company called Cygnus Solutions (many years ago now). That company was bought by Red Hat and then later on Red Hat was bought by IBM. For my sins I am now considered to be a Distinguished Engineer and apparently an expert in all things binary. Do not believe the hype however as I still have no clue how most things actually work.
