This is a FAQ
checked
is an SGML shorthand where you have missed out the attribute name and
just given its value. In this case the attribute is called checked.
This SGML syntax is not available in XML so in XSLT (and in XHTML) you
need the full form
checked="checked"
If you are using the html output method this will appear in teh output
as
checked
