Hello -
Is it possible to use Xpath expressions to create a
node-set from a DOM Document object?
I'm passing a Document from my servlet to my script as
a parameter: <xsl:param name="MyDocument"/>
I can use <xsl:value-of select="$MyDocument", etc to
output the node values okay; however, Xpath
expressions like select="$MyDocument/User" seem not to
produce a node set. Am I making an error in my Xpath,
for example, assuming that $MyDocument represents the
document root node? If so, how do you reference the
root node?
If the problem is that XPath can't be used on DOM
Documents, then what what type of object should be
used to pass a tree as a script param? A Sax node-set
of some kind? Does Apache provide any tool kits for
building that object, such as Apache ECS, etc? Any
examples of how to do this would be greatly
appreciated! Thanks for your suggestions -
