Hello Joshua,

why not so:

<item title="Searching the Site" id="2">
    <helpfile>
        <para>Text input into paragraphs.</para>
        <para>Text input into paragraphs.</para>
    </helpfile>
</item>

And then in the template for example:

<xsl:template match="helpfile">
    <xsl:apply-templates select="para"/>
</xsl:template>

<xsl:template match="para">
    <p><xsl:value-of select="."/></p>
</xsl:template>
