You might even not need this step.

If you generate a HTML file (eventually with a link on an external CSS
stylesheet), you'll see that Word will import most of the style and that
you can get pretty looking documents like this.

You can even use some of the MS Word extensions (just save a doc file as
HTML to see what they look like) to specify things like page breaks,
page size and orientation and other stuff.
