RE: How to extract comments only?

Mike:
Thanks for the very helpful contribution. However, I'm curious about how to
only extact the comments. In this example, it extracts the comments AND the
xml tags, how do I get just comments?

Sure. Read http://www.w3.org/TR/xslt#built-in-rule and then it should be
apparent why this simple stylesheet will (well, should) do what you want:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<xsl:stylesheet xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0">

<xsl:template match="comment()">
  <xsl:copy/>
</xsl:template>

<xsl:template match="text()|@*"/>

</xsl:stylesheet>
