- Subject: Updated complete Xconq test packages for MacOS
Updated complete test packages for MacOS are now available. They do not
require any other files to be downloaded or installed in order to play the
game. There are three packages:
http://w1.694.comhem.se/~u69400018/COMPLETE/Xconq-MacOS9-040402.sit
This is the MacOS 8/9 (Classic) version. It works on MacOS 8.1 and above.
You can also run it on MacOS X, under the Classic environment.
http://w1.694.comhem.se/~u69400018/COMPLETE/Xconq-MacOSX-040402.sit
This is the MacOS X (Carbon) version. It also runs on earlier versions of
MacOS that have CarbonLib installed (MacOS 8.6 and above). The Classic app
is faster on those systems, however.
http://w1.694.comhem.se/~u69400018/COMPLETE/Xconq-MacTCL-040402.sit
This is the TCL version of Xconq for MacOS. It is slower than the Mac
native apps and does not have as many features. It is, however, the same
interface as is used by the Windows and Unix versions of Xconq. It is a
Classic app, so it runs under the Classic environment on MacOS X. You don't
need to install TclTk in order to run it.
All three apps support network game play. The packages also contain
IMFApp, the small image browser. See the file README-FIRST for more
information. The other doc files are still obsolete.
Bug reports and other kinds of feedback are welcome.
