It can be useful to let a script specify that the procfs("foo").read/write
control files may be more open than 0600 permissions. For example, an
unprivileged user may need to be permitted to pass data to a stap module.
Consider adding an optional .permissions() probe point component:
probe procfs("foo").permissions(0444).read { }
