Porting glibc to Macintosh

- Subject: Porting glibc to Macintosh
Hi,
I am needing to use iconv from glibc on the Mac. The iconv that
comes with the Mac does not support obscure EBCDIC code pages that
the glibc version supports.
When I do "configure" for glibc, it tells me that glibc has not been
ported to darwin. I would think it would not be too hard to do that
and I'm a bit surprised it hasn't been done.
So, I went to the page on porting and it says to contact this list
first... So I am.
Has anyone ported glibc to the Mac? I'm using the latest: 10.4.10.
Thank you,
Perry Smith ( pedz@easesoftware.com )
