If you'd like to get depressed, have a look at slashdot
(http://slashdat.org). An idiot stated that the "political problems"
which lead to a removal of glibc 2.1 are license problems with db -
and now everybody seems to be bashing GNU and glibc :-( (but there are
some positive comments).
There's a small problem: During the changes to INSTALL the license of
db was removed. db2/README states:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The LICENSE file, mentioned in the beginning of the source files, can
be found together with all the other relevant license texts in the
manual and the INSTALL file in the toplevel directory.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The license text is in the manual (contrib.texi) but *not* anymore in
the INSTALL file. Either the README or the INSTALL file should be
changed for consistency.
