Hi,
all reported problems (by Steve Baur, Gary Goodger and Eirikur
Hjartarson) fail on ix86 with Linux 2.2.0pre7. Is this a problem of
2.2.0pre7? I've got the same make check failures others's reported:
make[2]: *** [/usr/glibc/src/buildreport/19990114/stdio-common/test-popen.out] Error 139
make[2]: *** [/usr/glibc/src/buildreport/19990114/stdio-common/xbug.out] Error 139
make[2]: *** [/usr/glibc/src/buildreport/19990114/stdio-common/bug5.out] Error 133
make[1]: *** [timezone/tests] Error 2
The one thing which springs to my mind is vfork.
Shouldn't a vfork syscall added to
sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/i386/syscalls.list like to the other
architectures?
Any successes so far? Any with Linux 2.2.0re7 on ix86?
For now I'd advise against installing glibc 2.0.110 if make check
fails for you!
Andreas
