Building and running testsuite with upstream glibc works fine on my systems on 32/64bit.
I have build upstream binutils and used them to build glibc.
And now I see segmentation faults in some testcases on 32 and 64bit.
But I haven't looked into them, yet.


OK, that's good. So it looks like a link-edit issue.

I'm not going to dig any deeper, but this will make it more
difficult to test 32-bit s390 for the glibc 2.24 release on
August 1st.

I usually use upstream binutils for s390 and s390x and I
expect others do to.

Please have a look at latest binutils commitf92339b8f316de65add11aeb9cd8ea72630aa556 "bfd/s390: Fix DT_PLTRELSZ inpresence of R_390_IRELATIVE.".

Building glibc and running testsuite with binutils with this patch worksfine on s390/s390x.
