Removing attributes in glibc doesn't make sense when GCC has the same
attributes built in.
GCC and glibc should be working together. It's generally inappropriate to
send a patch to one GNU project to work around a perceived deficiency in
another GNU project without first raising the issue in the two projects
together (i.e. in a thread CC:ed to both mailing lists) and coming to a
common understanding between the two communities as to the right long-term
fix. (Workarounds for *old* versions of some other piece of software may
be needed, of course.)
