Just to be clear the change to support non-gcc compilers is *not* a bug fix, it is a new feature.
The IBM-930 conversion segfault *is* a bug fix and I would also like to see it fixed.
Please find someone to review the IBM-930 bug fix.
You may wish to ask Petr Baudis for review.
