glibc 2.12

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

I've tagged the tree for the release. The version as released has been
used successfully in more or less this exact form in Fedora for the last
weeks without (significant) problems.

The new features this time around include:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* New interfaces: pthread_getname_np, pthread_setname_np
* New Linux interface: recvmmsg
* STT_GNU_IFUNC implemented for Sparc by David Miller.
* The dynamic linker now recognizes supported ABI versions from the
  EI_ABIVERSION field in the ELF header.
  Implemented by Ulrich Drepper.
* New NIS mode selector ADJUNCT_AS_SHADOW.  The passwd.adjunct.byname
  table will not be used to fill in password fields in the
  passwd.byname replies.  Instead it is used to synthesize the
  shadow.byname table, should it be missing.  This is a useful mode in
  some installations involving Solaris.  Implemented by Ulrich Drepper.
* New locales: kok_IN, sq_MK, cv_RU
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

In addition a large number of bugs have been fixed and a huge number of
internal improvements have been made.

I'm going to branch for 2.12 in a few days if there are no problems. At
that point the trunk will be open 2.13.
