Works for me:

[hjl@gnu-13 gas]$ cat foo.s
        .data
        .tfloat 0.3465735902799726547086160
[hjl@gnu-13 gas]$ ./as-new --version

This assembler was configured for a target of
`x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu'.
