Is there anything I can do to make it easier for you to accept this
patch? It is needed to be able to give translation files their
correct language code.
The Norwegian Bokmål translation team is waiting for this new locale
to become available, so we can start updating all packages using the
obsolete language code.
Please, pretty please include this patch in the next version of glibc.

The problem is also reported to Debian and RedHat as

<URL:https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=83276>. The
patch is already accepted into Debian.
