Re: libc/5059: Wrong date format for locale sl_SI

Hello,

The following is an excerpt from Slovenski pravopis
("Slovenian orthography"?) by Joze Toporisic,
president of the SAZU (Slovenian Academy of Science
and Art), which is the latest book on the topic and
the authority on it, published in 2003, ISBN
961-6358-95-2.

Page 32, "Neskladenjska raba pike" (non-syntactical
usage of the full-stop), paragraph 251/2:
   2. za stevilkami,
   a) kadar zaznamujemo vrstilne stevnike: na 15.
(petnajsti) strani; tako se 29. 11. 1989. leta, 12.
sedez v XV. vrsti, ob 8.uri; Jozef II.; namesto 60.
leta nasega stoletja rajsi uporabljamo izpisano
sestdeseta leta;

Even though the term "1989. leta" literally means "in
the nineteen eighty-ninth year", and this can be,
according to other sections of the book, simply "1989"
(in 1989), you can see how the remainder of the date
is spelt, with spaces.

I can scan the page if you wish.

Thank you for your help, Petter -- it is much
appreciated indeed. And yes, the change indicated in
your email is exactly what I have in mind.

Yours,
Aleks
