Benchmarks for new GLIBC string routines

I am developing some new assembler string/memory
routines optimized for PowerPC embedded 4xx processors.
I have written a handful of verification and performance delta
testcases for my first pass evaluation, but I was wondering if
GNU or GLIBC has any stock performance benchmark tests
I can and SHOULD use relating to the string and memory
routines of GLIBC.
