Hm. glibc-2.1.3, gcc-3.0.3, linux-2.4.17 I get:
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/rene/glibc-2.2.5/sunrpc'
../elf/ld-linux.so.2 --library-path ..:../math:../elf:../dlfcn:../nss:../nis:../rt:../resolv:../crypt:../linuxthreads ./rpcgen -Y ../scripts -c rpcsvc/bootparam_prot.x -o xbootparam_prot.T
make[1]: *** [xbootparam_prot.stmp] Segmentation fault (core dumped)
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/rene/glibc-2.2.5/sunrpc'
make: *** [sunrpc/others] Error 2
Hm. Oh. I see shit. I have the old 2.10.91 binutils running. That
could be the fault. I had two different gcc-3 builds. The second had
the 2.11.92.0.10 binutils. I erased the wrong system ...
So: Is it the binutils fault, and should such a glibc-2.1.3 system
with the 2.11.92.0.10 binutils build the glibc-2.2.5?
