Success here on ia32. Make check completed with no errors.
Platform: Athlon(TBird), with linux 2.4.0-test10
gcc: 2.95.1.
CFLAGS: -O2 -march=pentium -mcpu=pentiumpro
I also tried with the lastest GCC CVS, but that fails... :-(
On my alpha machine, using GCC CVS of last september:
$ gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/alpha-redhat-linux/2.96/specs
gcc version 2.96 20000920 (experimental)
I get some errors in make check:
make[2]: *** [/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/glibc-build-alpha/math/test-float.out] Error 1
make[2]: *** [/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/glibc-build-alpha/math/test-double.out] Error 1
make[2]: *** [/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/glibc-build-alpha/math/test-ifloat.out] Error 1
make[2]: *** [/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/glibc-build-alpha/math/test-idouble.out] Error 1
make[1]: *** [math/tests] Error 2
make[2]: *** [/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/glibc-build-alpha/stdio-common/tfformat.out] Error 1
make[1]: *** [stdio-common/tests] Error 2
make: *** [check] Error 2
My attempts with more recent GCC seem to do worse...
Cheers,
Christian
