Requiring modules in source code

Is it possible to write Kawa module that can be required without being
first explicitly compiled and serialized (to a .class-file or .zip-file)
with "kawa -C"?

I would like to split my current Scheme program into few modules, but
without switching to compile/package/run cycle.
