The first step is to get your new simulator working with GDB. Once
that's done, you'll either automatically have insight working, or you'll
have a little tweaking to do.
I suggest you ask how to integrate your new simulator with GDB on the
gdb list. Lots of helpful folks over there able to guide you the right
direction.
